Insyde® Software and Acer® Unveil Super Long Battery Life On Acer's Timeline™ Series Notebooks

COMPUTEX, TAIPEI, JUNE 02, 2009 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS firmware today announced the availability of its extended battery life support on the Acer Aspire Timeline Series notebooks. Insyde Software will showcase this technology in Room 203B of the Taipei International Convention Center at Computex Taipei, from June 2 - 6, 2009.

InsydeH2O™ UEFI BIOS has been specifically optimized for the Acer Aspire Timeline series to offer longer battery life than that of comparably-sized and designed notebooks available today. This version of InsydeH2O was designed to take special advantage of the Acer Smart Power to reduce the power consumption. This hardware and firmware collaborative allows users to experience the benefit of more than eight hours of battery life on a single charge.

Insyde Software invites attendees of Computex Taipei 2009 to visit Insyde Software's booth (Room 203B) where the Acer Timeline Series and other customers' notebook platforms will be on display demonstrating the robust battery life support of InsydeH2O.
