Insyde Software Delivers UEFI BIOS for the New Options of the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z5xx Series

InsydeH2O™ Provides Embedded Systems Makers with a Modular Firmware Solution Optimized for Intel® Atom™ Processor-based Embedded Designs

EMEBEDDED WORLD 2009, NURNBERG, GERMANY, MARCH 3, 2009 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) based firmware and an Affiliate Member of the Intel® Embedded and Communications Alliance today announced the availability of InsydeH2O™ UEFI firmware solution for the extension of the Intel? Atom processor Z5xx series platform.

InsydeH2O support is included for the large package option 1.6 GHz Intel® Atom™ processor Z530P, the 1.1 GHz Intel® Atom™ processor Z510P and accompanying Intel® System Controller Hub US15WP as well as the industrial temperature-ready 1.33 GHz Intel® Atom™ processor Z520PT, 1.1 GHz Intel® Atom™ processor Z510PT and associated Intel® System Controller Hub US15WPT.

With the addition of these new package and industrial temperature options, embedded systems makers will have increased design flexibility and capacity to support a broader range of climate environments. In addition, they can be assured that Insyde Software's UEFI firmware for the Intel Atom processor Z5xx platform is production ready based on similar commercially available devices and highly customizable to support critical embedded design requirements including fast boot, console redirection and IPMI; Intelligent Platform Management Interface.
