Insyde Software Announces GIGABYTE to Ship UEFI Firmware on the New Touch Note and Booktop Series Notebooks

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, FEBRUARY 25, 2009 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) based firmware today announced that GIGABYTE has selected its InsydeH2O™ firmware product to ship on the GIGABYTE Touch Note T1028 and Booktop M1022 Series Notebooks, announced earlier today from GIGABYTE and available this month.

The T1028 and M1022 Series Notebooks use the Intel® mobile platform - Intel® Atom™ Processor N270 and Intel® 945GSE Express and Intel® GN40 chipsets. Innovations unique to these two models are a rotating touch screen on the T1028 Series Notebooks, and a unique docking station design on the M1022 Series Notebooks, which provides complete desktop-like functionality when docked.
