Insyde Software Substantiates Alliance with Wistron for Mobile Platforms

TAIPEI, TAIWAN and HILLSBORO, OR, August 2nd, 2007 - Insyde Software, a global leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS, and engineering services, today announced that Wistron is licensing InsydeH2O™ for their Mobile Intel® GM965 Express (Santa Rosa) notebook platforms. /p>

While Insyde Software and Wistron have enjoyed a longstanding working relationship for many years, this announcement marks Wistron's successful transition from legacy BIOS technology to the more modern next-generation InsydeH2O™ UEFI Framework solution.

InsydeH2O's capabilities were tested and approved by Wistron's stringent engineering QA process. This approval further authenticates Insyde as a recognized frontrunner in the mobile marketplace. With InsydeH2O™, Wistron's mobile development teams will recognize increased benefits including: reduced time to porting firmware to new silicon, a wider range of engineering resources that can work with the well known C-language based product, a common firmware platform and development environment for all new products in the future and an improved opportunity to differentiate its products in the pre-boot.
