TAIPEI, TAIWAN and SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, October 3, 2005 – Insyde Software, a leading provider of system software, BIOS, and engineering services, today announced the availability of its XpressROM?BIOS and software support services for the AMD Geode GX Single Board Computer Reference Design Kit (AMD Geode GX SBC RDK). This compact and powerful reference design system, powered by the AMD Geode GX 466@0.9W processor and the CS5536 companion chip will ship with Insyde’s XpressROM BIOS on-board.

The AMD Geode GX SBC RDK is a lead-free reference design that offers single board computer and networked computing appliance manufacturers a complete system package to reduce overall time-to-market with new devices. The low-power and compact design helps facilitate smaller form factor designs. Additionally, the AMD Geode GX SBC RDK provides support for key product features such as USB 2.0, CRT or TFT display support and multiple operating systems.
