Insyde Software Introduces EFI Framework Enabling Program 1st Wave™ Provides PC Device Manufacturers, Silicon Vendors and Third-party Hardware Makers Early Access to Firmware for BIOS Replacement Technology INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 7, 2004 (Booth #540) ?Insyde Software, a leading global provider of system software, BIOS, and engineering services, today announced its 1st Wave™ EFI Framework enabling program. Targeted at OEM device manufacturers as well as silicon vendors and third-party peripheral vendors, 1st Wave is a subscription based program whereby software developers can gain early access to the Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) technology and Insyde Software's implementation of the EFI Framework; InsydeH2O™. Insyde Software's InsydeH2O "Hardware-2-Operating System" firmware product line was formally launched at last year's Fall Intel Developer Forum (IDF). InsydeH2O is the company's next-generation BIOS replacement technology based on the Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for EFI and is available for servers, desktops, mobile and embedded PCs and devices. Insyde's 1st Wave gives subscribers a complete "EFI Framework Readiness" solution by including the following components:
