Insyde Software Supports Intel® Centrino™ Mobile Technology Ensures Mobile PC Makers Leverage Latest Advancements TAIPEI, TAIWAN, March 13, 2003 - Insyde Software, a leading global provider of BIOS/firmware and consulting services, today announced its support and product readiness for the recently announced Intel® Centrino™ chip family. Yesterday, Intel unveiled the Centrino mobile family of processors, chipset and wireless networking modules. Powered by a new low-power Pentium® M processor, the Centrino mobile solutions will support all notebook segments from the full-size desktop replacement to the thin and light ultra portable designs. Insyde Software's MobilePro™ BIOS is an ODM/OEM ready suite of customizable firmware components (boot services, power management, peripheral configuration, etc.) that provides a core set of instructions to the Centrino mobile package. ODMs such as Compal, Inventec and Quanta leverage MobilePro™ BIOS for existing notebook models as well as notable OEM providers including Compaq, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP, and Toshiba. In a separate announcement yesterday, Toshiba released the Tecra S1 portable that includes Intel® Centrino™ Mobile Technology and Insyde Software's MobilePro™ BIOS and firmware technology.
