Insyde Software Partners with National to Showcase "Entertainment-on-Demand" at CeBIT 2002

March 13, 2002 - CeBIT, Hanover, Germany - Insyde Software is leveraging its exclusive firmware co-development and licensing arrangement with National to support new advances in streaming media technologies. These technologies are critical for each of the three IA market segments supported by National and Insyde with its Geode processors and XpressROM firmware - thin clients, set-top boxes and consumer access devices.

Products on display from Philips, DT Research and Sigma Designs will exhibit the streaming capabilities of National's Geode™ processors paired with media processors based on the TriMedia core or decoders from Sigma Designs. Information Appliances will be able to deliver streaming video and interactive Internet content, a function that until now has required the high power - and high cost - of technology developed for the PC.
