Insyde MobilePRO BIOS and Insyde KeyPRO Firmware Utilized in Value-Priced Solo 1400 Series Notebooks for Students, SOHO Users and the Price-Conscious

Westborough, Mass., Dec. 17, 2001 - Insyde Software Corp., a leading global provider of BIOS/firmware and consulting services, today announced that it provided the system software for Gateway's Solo® 1400 Series notebooks, which are available immediately. Part of its award-winning Solo line, the Solo 1400 Series systems are Gateway’s new entry-level notebooks featuring an improved industrial design, a large screen size, and robust connectivity delivering essential performance and mainstream multimedia at budget prices. The systems are designed for students, small-office/home-office (SOHO) users and the price-conscious. Earlier this year, Insyde Software developed the BIOS and firmware for Gateway's Solo 1200 Series notebook computers.
