Insyde Software Launches 'iPartner' Program to Extend BIOS Support to the Special-Purpose PC Market FS FORTH-SYSTEME GmbH Becomes First iPartner Offering Complete BIOS Products & Engineering Services to its Customers Westborough, MA - March 17, 1999 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of enabling mobile software technologies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), today announced the launch of its "iPartner" Program. In conjunction with this announcement, Insyde Software is pleased to name FS FORTH-SYSTEME, located in Breisach, Germany, as its first iPartner. Insyde Software created the iPartner Program to address the growing system-level software needs of architects, designers, system integrators and manufacturers of Embedded PCs or sometimes referred to as "special-purpose" personal computers. These special-purpose devices range from dedicated Windows-based terminals, Internet access devices, pen-based computers, wearable PCs, set-top boxes and sub-notebook hand-held computers. iPartners have an exclusive relationship with Insyde Software that includes engineering resources, a primary technical interface, a suite of source code and tools, customized training, and pre/post sales support. iPartners will work directly with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and ODMs (original design manufacturers) of special-purpose PCs using Insyde Software's BIOS and power management technologies to facilitate a faster time to market with complete PC compatibility.
