Leading PC System Vendors Licensing SystemSoft BIOS Software for 200- and 233-MHz Pentium Processor-based Mobile Computers

(NASDAQ: SYSF), a leading supplier of enabling software for personal computer manufacturers, today announced its MobilePRO BIOS software supports the two new Intel® Mobile Pentium® Processors with MMX™ Technology, announced today by Intel Corporation, and that the system-level software has already been licensed by more than ten leading portable PC manufacturers.

SystemSoft's MobilePRO BIOS software provides full support for the latest and fastest members of Intel's mobile processor family, including support for additional power savings mode in stop grant/autohalt power down state. This capability enables portable PC original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to extend the system's battery life without adversely affecting system performance. SystemSoft also makes it easier for OEMs transitioning from Pentium to Pentium II based-designs by supporting both processors and processor modules with the same BIOS.

Intel's new Mobile Pentium Processor with MMX Technology are available in 200- and 233-MHz and are the first products manufactured using Intel's .25 micron process technology.
