SystemSoft Delivers System-Level Software for Hitachi's VisionBook Plus Notebooks

NATICK, Mass., July 30, 1997 - SystemSoft Corporation (NASDAQ: SYSF) announced today that Hitachi PC Corporation is shipping SystemSoft's MobilePRO™ modular system-level software suite on Hitachi's new VisionBook Plus™ notebook family.
Hitachi's VisionBook Plus notebooks are assured of the highest level of system-level support for the latest PC technologies by using SystemSoft's MobilePRO BIOS. Among the MobilePRO features incorporated into the Hitachi VisionBook Plus include:
- Support for the latest Intel® Pentium® processors with MMXTM technology
- The ability to interchange a CD-ROM or floppy drive within the same drive bay
- Advanced Power Management (APM 1.2) and smart battery support for maximum battery life
- Microsoft Hardware Design Guide "PC 97" level support, including the ability to boot the system from a CD-ROM; BIOS support of Microsoft's OnNow initiative, which delivers fast power-on self test (POST), minimal time for resume from sleeping state and minimal startup display; and BIOS support of Universal Serial Bus (USB).
