SystemSoft System-Level Software Supports Intel's New Pentium II Processor

Provides System-Level Foundation for Designing Advanced Pentium II Processor-Based Systems

NATICK, Mass. - May 7, 1997 - SystemSoft Corp. (NASDAQ: SYSF), the industry's leading supplier of enabling software to PC manufacturers, today announced immediate availability of its system-level software supporting the new Intel Pentium II processor, announced today by Intel® Corporation. SystemSoft's system-level BIOS suite allows system vendors to implement custom manageability features and deliver sophisticated flexibility in creating advanced Pentium II-based designs.

For the complete P6 family of processors, including the Pentium II processor, SystemSoft supports a new processor microcode update function. "SystemSoft's BIOS software plays an important role in helping make the latest PC technologies a reality."

"The Intel Pentium II is designed for today's demanding business, 3-D and multimedia applications, and will become an important platform for many of SystemSoft's OEM customers," said Jonathan Joseph, senior vice president of SystemSoft's Platform Products Group. "Through our close engineering relationship with Intel, SystemSoft provides early and complete system-level support for the latest member of the Pentium processor family. The SystemSoft BIOS software complements the Pentium II processor by delivering the core functionality (including support for Intel's MMX™ technology) necessary for designing high-performance corporate systems, allowing our customers to push the performance envelope with new corporate PC designs."
